Hamburg fires coach Armin Veh

HAMBURG — Hamburger SV fired coach Armin Veh Sunday after the team was thrashed 6-0 at Bayern Munich.

The club said that Veh was leaving with immediate effect. Assistant coach Michael Oenning will be in charge for the rest of the season.
Only last week, Veh had said he would leave at the end of the season — one year before his contract was due to expire. He said he was going because of the ""unsettled"" situation at Hamburg.
Veh had hinted several times that he was tired of coaching.
